Roll out the red carpet for you customers and really make them feel like VIPs.

I recently returned from a trip where I chaperoned a group of high school students to West Virginia where they did roofing, siding and other building projects for some of the families there.

It was a great experience both for the teenagers and for myself as we disconnected from the hectic pace of ordinary life and stepped into some other shoes for a few days.
The experience got me to thinking about this whole issue of “service” and how vitally important it is that you approach your entire Internet and information marketing business from the standpoint of “service” to your customers.
I’ve heard it said often, I think from the late, great Zig Ziglar, that the more you can help others get what they want then the more you’ll get yourself. Or something to that effect.
And it’s so true. So what, as a marketer, can you do to be of more service to others? How can you roll out the red carpet for your customers and really make them feel like VIPs?
If you truly approach your business from the standpoint of service your customers will appreciate you more and will be happy to spread the word about how wonderful it is to work with you.
Service is a mindset and everything you can do to add value to the lives of those customers you assist will help you to stand out from the crowd. That’s why the smart organizations recognize customer service as a profit center and not a cost center. Service pays. Make it pay for you.
