In a past article, I talk about posting your podcast so I wanted to take a quick look at posting the articles from your podcast.
This is by no means a comprehensive look at this, but it’s a start.
Let’s begin with Facebook.
There is one thing that is certain with Facebook—their layout and menu will change by the time you read this, so I’m keeping it generic.
You want to add a “note”. You’ll see that you can upload and add a photo. Find a relevant photo and upload it. (At the time of this printing this was under the “Posts” section.)

The next part is the title. This is a key part because the title must be SEO optimized so make sure you use keywords in it. The title of the post will actually be a page on Facebook.
Then, add the text and images. We need to make sure our keywords are included in the text. This is where your article goes. You then simply click “publish.” Your title, with the keywords, will now appear in the URL for the page Facebook created. This, and the use of key words in the article make it optimized for Google search.
Now here’s a powerful trick. Go to, google.com/webmasters/ tools/submit-url
Once this page pulls up, you will see a small box where you can you enter the URL for the page Facebook created for your note
and click the button to submit it to Google. Google should index it in a short period of time. You can go to Google and search on the keyword phrase and it should pull up which shows that Google has it indexed. It may not rank near the top at first, but over time it should climb in the rankings.
Now we can do the same thing on LinkedIn. Here, go to “Profile” and post there. You can add an image, and post the article. Once again, go to Google, google.com/webmasters/tools/submit- url and submit the URL. Then search for the phrase on Google and see if you are listed. Sometimes the listing is immediate, and sometimes it takes a bit.
Do this every week with the articles created from your podcast. Don’t just do it in these two places, do it in all the other places I talked about in the main article in this month’s Traces.
This is what traffic is all about. This is real traffic. This isn’t some fake trick that will stop working in a few weeks. This is giving the search engines what they want—traffic. It only takes seconds to do this, but it enables you to rank your articles four times, five times, twenty times a week. With this method many times, I get number one ranking almost immediately. This is profound. This is the difference between observing a market and participating in a market. This is where you can literally dominate a market.
