The 5-Minute Webinar Strategy

The 5-Minute Webinar StrategyYou may recall that at my virtual Complete seminar held November 6-8, 2020, I offered a free, 21-day trial subscription to the Bronze level of Marketing University. In fact, some of you have joined Marketing University via that offer.

I have aggressive goals for this “free trial” campaign. I won’t go into detail with them here, but I know that of the people who take me up on the 21-day free trial, 50% will cancel before their 21 days are up.

The 5-Minute Webinar Strategy

My goal with this campaign is to have 2,000 people sign up for the free offer with 1,000 of them staying (50%) and paying

$97 per month for their membership. One thing I am not calculating at this time is the fact that some of these 1,000 people will upgrade to higher levels of Marketing University.

Let’s take a look at some of the ways I plan to accomplish this.

These methods can be adapted to work for you, too. I am not depending on just one method to reach this goal. I’ll actually implement several different approaches in order to reach these numbers.

The first method I put in place is the “opt-in page and presentation.”

I’m using this method on my sites and my various lists from which I drive people to the opt-in page.

Why do I drive them to an opt-in page rather than a sales letter/ video? Because I want to capture their name and email address before we send them on to the sales/offer video.

Why do I want to capture their name and email address up front?

I want it because if they don’t sign up for the free trial, they will be put into our eight-day follow up autoresponder. In fact, I can be even more aggressive. I can insert an immediate follow up email before I send them to the follow up autoresponder.

For example, one, two or maybe even three hours after they watch our presentation and don’t buy, I can send them an email that says something similar to:

“Hi! We noticed you stopped by our site today and did not complete the order for your FREE 21-day, Marketing University trial offer.  Here’s a link where you can bypass the video and go directly to sign up for the free trial offer…”

If they buy, we’re happy. If they don’t buy, they now go into the eight-day follow up autoresponder.

This is one method we will use to meet these goals. But now we need to move beyond our list. We need to attract brand new people who have never heard of us.

We need to advertise and get it in front of a lot of people. Here’s where we use a very powerful method I call the “five-minute webinar.” I think this is pure genius. I think it’s the best of all the methods I’ll use in this promotion. You’ll see me using it more and more throughout the year.
