Connecting In Person Will Build Your Online Business More Quickly.
Connie Regan Green
Working from your home computer as you build an online business can keep you isolated from other small business owners and entrepreneurs. This leads to seeing your business in a bubble, keeping you out of touch with your prospects and clients.
It also keeps you from the powerful interaction that comes with connecting with other like-minded people in person on a regular basis.

While online methods, such as social media, niche forums, and masterminds, that meet over the phone, can all be very helpful, there is nothing that takes the place of face to face interaction.
There are a variety of ways to remedy this that will get your creative juices flowing and help you to build your business in an even bigger way than you have been doing so far.
Check online to see if there is a Meetup group in your city or town. I was surprised to find that one had already been meeting each month, for over a year, when I checked two years ago.
They meet in a community room at our local book store once each month, and I have met so many people there that have become friends, joint venture partners, and clients. If there is not a group such as this already in existence, start your own and see what happens.
Attending live events, such as seminars and workshops, has been the best way for me to connect with others. You will need to drive for several hours or fly to them and then commit to attending so that you can become a part of it. Many have an online forum set up so that you can stay in touch with the others in between the live events.
Another way to stay connected is to prepare a short PowerPoint presentation on your topic and then make the rounds in your city to present it to various groups.
This would include service organizations such as Kiwanis and Rotary, the local Chamber of Commerce, and other groups that are looking for presenters to share their information.
This will open the doors to many opportunities, such as having an article written about you and your business in the local newspaper, an interview with the local radio station, and invitations to become a part of an ongoing business Mastermind.
It’s time for you to come out from behind your computer and start meeting people in person to build your online business.
