Become The Personality For Your Company
This month I’m going to introduce you to my Ultimate Traffic Strategy. We’ll talk about traffic in an entirely different way than you would expect. When most people, including me, talk about traffic we talk about and demonstrate very specific methods such as, “Here’s how to run a Facebook ad, here’s how to run a Google ad, here’s how to do a YouTube ad etc..”
Well, those things are great, but quite honestly, you can go to YouTube and research those things yourself and figure out how to do them on your own. Of course, there are some tricks and techniques that can make them more effective but, with my Marketing Formula, I want to show you the bigger picture. I don’t want you just to get the run-of-the- mill traffic. I want you to build lifetime traffic something that builds and expands upon itself.
To Grow A Business You Have To Have A Personality Behind It
Armand morin
A while back I was looking to generate traffic, but I wanted to do something more, I wanted to leverage that traffic. One of the things that I learned a long time ago, was that when you do anything, whether it be build a website, generate an ad on the internet, or build a product, you need to leverage it out as much as you possibly can. So, when I stopped and thought about traffic I decided to look at it in an entirely different light. What I needed to come up with was an different method so that I could maximize what is available today on the internet.
This almost perfect system is comprised of several different pieces. We’re basically re-using content throughout this whole process. But more so we’re utilizing some of the most up-to-date technologies available today in order to:
- Get Our Message Out
- Build a Following, And More Importantly…
- Drive Traffic to our product, services and certainly our webinars.
Everything starts, in this particular case, with a podcast. A podcast is something that I think is so powerful, but at the same time it’s very versatile. When we look to building a following, we want to do something more than just, “Follow me, follow my website.” We want to have a podcast that demonstrates us and our personality. To grow a business, you have to have a personality behind it.
If I asked you for the personality behind Apple, you would immediately say, “Steve Jobs.” If I asked you for the personality behind Microsoft, most would immediately say, “Bill Gates.” In most very successful companies, there is a personality behind it. What I’m asking you to do, as the first step in this process, is to step up to the plate and become the personality for your company.
You have to start putting out your opinion. I read a very interesting article a while back. It was talking about news television and their bias. Certain news networks are biased towards one side of politics versus another. For example, MSNBC is leaning more towards the Democrats. FOX News leans more towards Republicans. And CNN has always tried to stay somewhat in the middle, at least that’s their claim.

When you look at these three networks you find that MSNBC and FOX News do really well, but CNN just bobbles back and forth in the middle. Why? It’s because the MSNBC and FOX News organizations have opinions. It doesn’t matter what the opinion is, the fact is they have strong opinions, and they’re very vocal about their opinions. CNN has no opinion; they just report the news and that is the network that’s struggling. People like to follow people who have similar views and similar ideas or ideologies as themselves.
Have you ever noticed the smartest person in the world is the person who basically agrees with your way of thinking? On a podcast, you will naturally attract people that think like you, that like your message, that like what you say. You can build a following with these people.
This starts by letting people know who you are, what you believe in, and also your opinions. People love opinions and hate opinions. By demonstrating who you are, what you believe in, and your opinion on certain relevant things, people will naturally want to follow you. People follow people whose opinions they respect. A podcast is the perfect tool for this. It enables you to have your own platform in order to speak out on your beliefs.
The great thing about a podcast is it doesn’t have to be complicated; it’s actually very, very simple. I like a short podcast—approximately 15 minutes long. There are a couple ways to do a podcast—with audio video.
In a future post, I’m going to show you how it’s possible to take 15 minutes out of your life and turn it into thousands of minutes in front of your audience.
