As I look around, I see people making their work and life much too complicated. In other words, they take the long way to do things. I like to take the shortest route from point A to B. Most people complicate the functions that are needed to get there.
With that in mind, let’s talk about video—only we’ll look at it in a slightly different way. I’m not talking about you being on camera but, rather, I’m talking about the overall use of video.
The bottom line is you should be using video.
Why? Because it’s the fastest way for you to create a product. People take forever to create products. I get it! I understand some products take more time and energy than others. But in reality, the only way you make money is by producing products and putting them out there and allowing people buy them.
Let’s look at a couple of methods.
With the first method you learn how to do something and then record a video explaining how you did it. This method has, without question, made me millions of dollars. It’s a simple concept. I learn how to do something and then show other people how I did it. The key, of course, is to make it easy for them to do it.
There is very little preparation with this method, and you don’t even need a PowerPoint to make it happen. About the only thing you need is a way to record it and it doesn’t need to be anything fancy.
Let’s look at an example.
I know some of my students use a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Let’s say I want more information on it. I just go to Google and type in “what is a VPN?” I find tons of information on what a VPN is, why I need a VPN and how to set up a VPN etc.
In this example I just happened to choose www.nordvpn.com. There was no rhyme or reason for the choice…I just picked it for this example.
I start doing my research on it by first checking out why I should have a VPN, and I discover they encrypt my Internet traffic, protect my online identity etc. I use my Internet for business and personal use, so that sounds good to me.
I check their pricing and see that I can get it for $3.95 per month (at the time of this training) if I get the 3-year plan. That sounds good to me, so I do it. I don’t know what I’m doing so I read all the instructions and set it up.
I now know how to set it up! I also have experience setting it up. I decide to create a product helping people set up their VPNs.
I scroll down to the bottom of their webpage and see that they have a way I can make money with them. I see they have three ways to make money.

I click on each of these links and check to see how I can make money with them.
I decide to make money with them using one or more of the money-making opportunities they have. So, now I have a product I can market and a way to make money with it.
It’s really simple. I find out how to do something. Then I make a training video on how to do it. I have to make sure my training video makes it really simple. After you record the training video, while you’re still dressed for making a video, you record a short sales letter for the product you just recorded.
I suspect it will take 30 to 40 minutes to record the training video and probably 10 minutes to record the sales letter. Then another 30 minutes to take the video and upload it to a website and connect it to a shopping cart. I’ve done this before in about 90 minutes, but since I’m not sure of your experience level, let’s say it takes around three hours to do it all. That should allow plenty of time. Now, all that’s left is for you to market it.
