I already have the training recorded so all I do is promote it. I send the people to a straight opt-in page. I don’t even record an opt-in video.
What I’m going to do is take a screenshot of their Facebook, Instagram or whatever other accounts I can grab a screenshot of and I’ll to use it to make a simple graphic. This graphic will go on the left-hand side of the opt-in, and above the actual opt- in box. I’m just going to put opt-in instructions.
One thing I always want to be sure of is that this page is 100% mobile compatible. In other words, I make sure it shrinks properly to fit on a mobile device. I do this with all three pages—the opt-in, thank you, and the actual webinar page.
The opt-in and thank you pages were straight forward, but the actual webinar page was a little more challenging because it’s a video.
What I wanted to happen here was as the person is watching the video it not only shrinks correctly, but at a certain point in the video the payment buttons (one payment or two payment options) pop up underneath it. When the viewer clicks a button, they are taken to the appropriate order form.
I couldn’t find any app that successfully did this, so I had to build my own. Why do I believe this is such a simple process?
The product is already created. The speaker created it and sold it at my seminar. So…the two basic things you need to sell the product are an opt-in and a sales letter. The opt-in I’ve described above is about as simple as it gets.
The sales letter is the 90-minute presentation that I recorded as the person spoke at my Complete Seminar. You may not be so lucky as to have seminars that people speak and sell products at. Not a problem, just create a PowerPoint presentation.
Let me be clear—I am doing this as an affiliate. It’s someone else’s product. I share the money with them. We do a 50/50 split with me doing the promotion and absorbing the credit card fees. The only real difference between this and a regular affiliate program is that I process the sale and absorb the credit card fees.
In this case, these are $997 products, so we each make approximately $500. This leaves me plenty of money to promote it. And, in my case, I won’t even spend money out of my pocket to promote it. I’ll send an email out to my list and the sales from that will cover my ad cost.
You can see how profitable it is to repurpose your content. I had access to perfectly good products that I sold at my Complete Seminar. I simply created an opt-in page and thank you page and then promoted and resold these same products individually.
Let’s look at some things that can be done to increase conversions without complicating things with audio and video.
What can I do to my opt-in page to entice people to leave their name and email address in order to be taken to the next page to view the training/sales letter?
Here’s what we’re starting with:
This is a Limited Time Free Training:
You Need to Watch this Today!
Learn Step-By-Step How My Friend Built
a Social Media Following Of Over 5,000,000+
Followers and How You Can Do This Too!
The Training Won’t Be Up for Long…
There’s No Waiting Watch It
On The Very Next Page.
Here are some changes I could make to help it convert better.
NOTE: Silver, Gold, Platinum and Titanium Members can watch me do this in real time by logging into the Member’s area. To “Weekly Training” (left hand menu) and open the “Earn More From Repurposed Content” training video. You will find me explaining this at the 10-minute, 35-second time mark.
I could bold the words “Limited Time Free Training” and “Watch This Today!” Limited time could go in red to really emphasize it.
The headline, “Learn Step-By-Step How My Friend Built a Social Media Following Of Over 5,000,000+ Followers and How You Can Do This Too!” is ok. There are a dozen different ways this could be worded but I think it says what it needs to say. I want to say what it is—Social Media. I want to make sure I mention the five million followers and let them know they can do it too.
I build scarcity with the bottom line, “this training won’t be up for long”. Then the very next words reassure them by giving them instant access. There’s no waiting watch it on the very next page.
I feel that every word used in any promotion and on the opt-in page needs to justify its use.
In the training in the members area, I go over each word and explain why I chose that particular word. You can find this at approximately the 41-minute mark in the training.
