The Why & What of Book Writing

A lot of people think they can just sit down and start writing, come up for air and their book is magically finished, then send it off for someone to print and publish…and…the next thing you know they’re on Oprah. I assure you, it’s not that simple.

Throughout this series of articles, I’m going to show you how to take your book to the nth degree. The industry has changed drastically over the past five to ten years. We need to look at books and book publishing differently. There’s a whole world of books that most people don’t even know exist. You can take advantage of this once you understand the book writing and publishing process.

I’m going to show you
that a book is, in fact, a business.

You can take a book and turn it into products, courses, live streaming events, seminars, membership sites etc. I’ll show you how to do all different kinds of things with your book. But, it all starts with an idea, a message, that you turn into a book.

What I’m going to try to do is decipher this crazy world of books and show you the process you need to go through in order to write the book and realize all the things I listed above.

Most of us, if not all of us, have a message deep inside of us. Some of us want to share our message with the world. You may have a training, a course or a teaching you want to get out of your head and onto paper in order to share it with people all over the world.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re an author who has already written a book, whether you’re a coach wanting to write a book in order to get new clients or whether you’re in business and want to utilize a book for publicity. Whatever your situation for wanting to write a book is, I’m going to show you methods on how to accomplish your end goal for the book in a way that makes sense for you.

I want to take you through the process and break it down so that anyone can understand and do it regardless of their level of expertise. And, I’ll show you how to do all this in record time. When one thinks about writing a book, they usually think they have to physically “write” the book. I’m going to show you alternative methods that are a lot faster. I know this is obvious, but I have to state it anyway, the very first step in the process of writing a book is to have a reason “why”.
