What Does Your Market Want?

You will mispronounce words, you will make mistakes, and you will repeat yourself.

People like to hear your mental conversation as you create the product. You are speaking this conversation out loud. You may correct yourself or go back and add things; it’s all part of the live mental conversation you’re having as you talk.

The thing I can’t stress enough is…just get your product out there! Get it out as quickly as you can. The more products you get out the there, the better you will become at creating them. My first audio and video products were pretty bad but as I kept doing them, they got better and better.

If you know your market and what they want, you can use these lower priced products to upsell people into high end products. For example, live events (online and offline) or coaching etc. Here’s how I look at it…when my market purchases one of these lower end products they are, in reality, paying to become a lead for my higher end products.

We could sit here and talk about all different priced products and filling funnels, etc. Forget all that, just create a product. You have nothing until you create a product.

For this article, I’m talking about information products. I could talk about software, services and things of that nature but for most people, at this time, that’s not a reality. You just need something to get started with.

Another misconception is that the product has to be this big comprehensive volume that includes everything regarding the subject. It only has to be one aspect of the subject. You can

create more products to cover additional aspects. Creating a massive information product will overwhelm you, and it will take too long. Also, it will be too hard for your market to consume. They need smaller chunks, or they too will become over- whelmed.

Also remember, it doesn’t need to be a product that fills a big need. I know a guy who made videos on how to tie a tie.

As we’re heading into summer in the U.S., don’t use that as an excuse to not create products. Use the nicer weather to create more products. People think consumers purchase during the summer months. That is just not true. I’ve marketed some of my most profitable products during the hot summer months.
